Chondra Profit, an actress playing Sarabi in the Broadway production of "The Lion King," first heard of DKMS US's bone marrow donation service through a cast mate, Shannon, who was going through chemotherapy. Two and a half years after Shannon passed away, Chondra discovered she had a perfect match and offered up her marrow to help a boy, whom she knows very little about but often thinks of.
