John Foley recognized that there was a gap in at-home fitness where people could get live instruction and group classes, so he started Peloton. The company started with the cycle and has expanded to the treadmill, yoga instruction and fitness instruction. He attributes part of its success to the television ads it's aired because TV ads have returned the most on Peloton's investment.
