Former Emerson College student KJ Lynum was part of a student group that held an event on campus which criticized the Chinese government by passing out stickers. Her student group was disbanded by her school's president the next day and they were all labeled as bigots for taking a stance. Lynum says that the college experience is about learning from each other and that when a school shuts down free speech, they're stunting an opportunity for growth. As Americans, having the freedom to speech is our right and it's of the utmost importance that we protect it.
