A cartoon depicts a man getting into his car and pulling out of his parking spot. The car, which features an anthropomorphic face, warns the driver that a truck is approaching, but the driver continues backing up. The truck swerves to avoid the car, causing a shopping cart to roll and smash into a ladder. The man who was climbing the ladder is left swinging from the banner he was hanging, toppling over a display of plants in the process. The plants distract a woman, resulting in her cart containing her baby and a potted tree to start rolling away from her. A dislodged cart collides with a woman carrying two buckets of yellow paint. The paint is splattered across the road, and the man who started all of the chaos drives his car through it. The car warns the driver about something coming up on his right, which turns out to be the woman chasing after her baby in the cart. My Car Does What encourages viewers to pay attention to safety technologies in cars.
