A mom quickly tidies up before rushing to work while her son Sam naps on the couch, but she doesn't have time to deal with the basket of laundry or the stack of dirty dishes in the sink. Sam wakes up after his mother has left, makes himself a bowl of cereal and takes a look around. The holidays are coming up but he doesn't think his home is quite merry enough so he makes the decision to do something special for his mom. Gaming console in tow, he rides his bike to a shop nearby that he knows will let him trade in the machine for some money. Using this cash he makes a stop at Hobby Lobby to get the supplies he needs to make his mom's day. When she steps through the door, now adorned with a festive wreath, she sees her son has livened up the living room with decorations and even done the chores so she has nothing else to worry about after her long shift.
