DTC Brands Display Major Q3 Growth on TV

New direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands are popping up every day, and many are flocking to TV to fuel that growth. Even with ad buying uncertainty created by the pandemic, DTC ads were going strong in the third quarter of 2020.
Through three quarters of 2020, estimated TV ad spend for DTC brands was running nearly even with the same timeframe from last year, but impressions also jumped 17.8%. The third quarter of 2020 was a resurgence for DTC as well as those brands flocked back to TV as tentpoles also returned. DTC impressions were up 6.3% compared to Q2, while estimated spend climbed by 15.8%.
