Before racing legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. hangs up his helmet for good, he's ambushed by his phony replacement Dewey Ryder (played by Danny McBride). Ryder, who struts up to a bewildered Earnhardt Jr. with his camera crew in tow, explains that he's the upgrade -- the new Mountain Dew driver who will be going around in circles really fast just like Dale Earnhardt Jr. Although, Dale can't take him seriously with his riding attire, telling him no one races in shorts. Danny takes an open bottle of Mountain Dew from Earnhardt Jr.'s hand, tells him to exit the frame and proceeds to gulp it down for the cameras while straddling an open car window.
