"The Emoji Movie" tells the story of Gene, an emoji that experiences multiple emotions and who wishes to be "normal" like the other inhabitants of Textopolis, a sprawling city hidden inside every phone's texting app. To achieve his goal, Gene enlists the help of his best friend Hi-5 and a code breaker emoji named Jailbreak, embarking on a journey through the phone's many apps, each with its own world. When a dangerous force threatens to destroy the phone for good, the trio steps up to save emoji-kind from annihilation. "The Emoji Movie," in theaters July 28, 2017, is rated PG.
