A young runaway participates in a mysterious sleep study and realizes too late that it's much more than she signed up for. After assuring a researcher that she's all in for the full two-month program, Sarah is told very little other than her instructions: come to facility and go into REM, "the part of sleep where we dream the most vividly." Though she seems content to have a consistent, warm place to sleep at the onset, she starts to ask more questions when her dreams become a little too vivid. Answers are withheld time and time again, with increasingly sinister connotations. What follows is a descent into the darkest parts of Sarah's sleeping mind -- to the point where it's unclear what is being conjured by her own subconscious and what may be coming true in the waking world.
