Benediction TV Movie Trailer

After serving in the First World War and attaining military honors for his service, poet Siegfried Sassoon provokes the ire of the British government by criticizing its continuing involvement in the conflict. He is sent to a psychiatric facility for his antiwar views and, despite being closeted, takes up affairs with several men. Before long, he finds himself torn asunder by the mental strain brought about by wartime trauma, the stigma of his sexuality and the desire for normalcy.
