The Ocean Discovery Institute in San Diego exists to help young people transform their lives through science. Shara Fisler from the Institute said that help from "CNN Heroes" and Subaru helped it complete its fundraising goal and build the Institute to provide classes for people like Keilly Santos. Keilly grew up in City Heights -- the most diverse community in all of San Diego. She had people invested in her education and going to classes at the Institute helped her realize she really could be a scientist. Keilly and Shara are both thankful for the opportunities the Institute offers kids and will continue to do so with the help of CNN and Subaru.
