An unusually strong Arctic blast has hit Cincinnati and a group of homeless individuals decides to stage an "Occupy" sit-in at their public library as their last hope at surviving the winter weather. This act of civil disobedience soon turns into a standoff with police and vulture-like media speculating on the true cause of the event. By settling into a public library, this group of individuals raises awareness and discussion about homelessness and mental illness in public view. "The Public" is rated Pg-13 and debuts in theatres on April 5, 2019.
