The Purge: Election Year TV Movie Trailer

Directed and written by James DeMonaco, the third installment of "The Purge" film series further expands the universe introduced in the hit franchise. It's been 15 years since now Senator Charlie Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell) and her family went through their own terrifying Purge encounter that left her the sole survivor. As she runs for President and tries to bring the Purge to an end, she calls for protection from her head of security Leo Barnes (Frank Grillo), who has his own reasons for wanting the night gone. In violent disagreement with Roan's plan, the people force the two out onto the D.C. streets as they must survive the annual ritual or both be sacrificed. "The Purge: Election Year" hits theaters July 1, 2016.
