With his ears ringing after being knocked down in the boxing ring, Olympic athlete Shakur Stevenson flashes back to his childhood in Newark. As his mother cleans up his nosebleed with a wet rag, she reminds him of the strength that can be found in his roots. He's been fighting his whole life, but it's his mother's words that help him to regain his footing for the next round. Powerade acknowledges that we're all just a kid from somewhere and encourages us to power through.
