Totally rad! Target touts its extreme sports sponsorships in this TV commercial. The ad manages to evoke the rebel spirit of freeskiing, while holding onto the creative touches that make the ad distinctly Target.

Taking a cue from its established creative equity around music with quick cuts and quirky design, the Target team builds a fresh execution that imbues their long-used structure and style with an adventurous GoPro vibe.

It doesn't herald a full-scale shift to edgy retail creative from the brand, but it does demonstrate a smart creative strategy with targeted consumer sponsorships in mind.
