Honda celebrates their history of success in their latest spot,
'Great Thinking Inside.' Set to the tune of "Gonna Build a Mountain" by Sammy
Davis Jr., the ad shows the evolution of Honda cars over the years, culminating
in the creation of the 2016 Honda HR-V Crossover.
This approach is an excellent one for Honda simply because they've
built such a strong reputation for making exceptional vehicles. Their past
innovations are what assure the consumer that the HR-V will have the quality
they've come to expect from Honda, and then some. This is something that a
lesser car brand might not have been able to get away with, and that Honda was
smart to take advantage of.
In addition to a solid brand strategy, the incredible visuals make
this ad a truly memorable one. Showing the progression of their vehicles makes
it easy to understand, and believe, that Honda's latest innovation is truly
their best yet. This approach is a unique one and in an industry where many of
the commercials look the same, the fact that Honda's stands apart makes it a
success.
