In the powerful new Powerade ad voiced by the late rapper Tupac Shakur, one kid rides his bike through the streets of Englewood, Chicago. As he makes his way to becoming Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose, Tupac urges us to not ask why "the rose that grew from the concrete had damaged petals." Instead, he says, we must celebrate the rose's strength and its ability to turn into something amazing. When it comes down to it, we're all just a kid from somewhere.
