iSpot is the leader in building and scaling new currencies for the TV advertising industry. This position will have direct responsibility and impact on those initiatives. As the Senior Director of Engineering, you will have broad responsibility over our engineering vision, strategy, execution, and team development as they relate to all of iSpot's products. This is a high-impact role as we become the video currency for television insights and planning.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional technical teams in delivering mission-critical technology solutions to demanding video currency stakeholders and business partners.
- Drive transparency and decision-making through the Product and Engineering leadership team with iterative improvement programs that focus on product scale and quality.
- Partner with Commercial and Product leadership to develop and refine the vision for iSpot's video currency and represent the technical aspects/considerations of the strategy.
- Use a product management mindset to engage with internal and external stakeholders to align on engineering vision, strategy, and priorities that deliver measurable results.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts and solutions with customers.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 5+ years leading large cross-cultural geo-distributed teams across multiple time zones. (minimum 50+ headcount).
- 15+ years of experience in software development building large-scale consumer, SaaS, or PaaS using public or private clouds.
- 8+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale engineering teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves, style – willing to dive in and drive for change.
- Understanding and commitment to software engineering practices/processes (e.g., Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD) and continuous improvement through measurement.
- Comfortable handling complex technical questions and familiar with resolving technical issues unique to TV advertising.
- You thrive in an extremely fast-paced, demanding, and results-driven environment with a laser focus on delivering against internal team and external customer objectives.
- A curious nature with interest in understanding the latest trends in the media space and learning related emerging technologies.
- Excellent agile project management skills; ability to estimate scope, break up problems into deliverable chunks, and pivot when requirements change.
Target cash compensation range: $190,000.00 - $240,000.00 USD Annually
We are committed to providing competitive, market-informed compensation. The cash compensation above includes base salary, variable commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all full time iSpotters are eligible to participate in iSpot’s equity plan to receive stock options. Non-exempt roles will also be eligible for (pre-approved) overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are influenced by different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Hybrid & Flexible Workplace Policy
iSpot supports a hybrid and flexible workplace. Depending on location and work responsibilities, employees may be designated as full-time or part-time office-based or a fully remote employee. A hybrid work schedule indicates that you work in the office some days and work from home other days. The best hybrid workplaces allow for flexibility while also encouraging consistency.
Those local or living in surrounding areas to one of our offices (Bellevue, WA; El Segundo, CA; New York, NY) will work a hybrid schedule, coming into their local office 1-3 days a week. While those in a role, not office-based and located further away from our offices, will work a fully remote schedule.
