In NHTSA's ad, the deer and humans have switched places. Deer are driving down the road at night when they encounter a distracted human that's walking along and texting. As the deer honk their horn at him, he stops and stares at them with a "deer in the headlights" look and quickly scampers off. The rest his family scurries after him. The deer just shake their heads. Don't text when on the road. It's not safe for deer or humans.
