We’ve updated our Estimated Spend Algorithm

In our ongoing quest to become the speediest and most accurate TV data company, we are happy to announce an update to our estimated spend algorithm.

This update will include:

  • Smarter consideration of make goods, overnight, mirror and DRTV units.
  • Calibration of our spend data against quarterly SEC filings where networks disclose their aggregate advertising revenues.
  • Classification of Show promo units as either regular ad units if they are out-of-network or as in-network promos with an estimated media value (instead of spend).
  • Retro-active update of all data back to January 1, 2014. These updates will occur as rolling updates during the month of September, 2015.
